The overall winner of the 'Photographer of 2010' Award will receive the following prizes:

• An all expenses paid week long trip to shoot with the Academy in an exotic location in 2011 (Egypt or Majorca for example) to include flights, car hire/transfers, luxury villa or hotel accomodation and food and drink.
• Your images from the trip will also be sent to magazines and newspapers for possible publication.
• A fully styled fashion photoshoot with Kerri, including make up artist and hair stylist
• A featured profile and gallery on the Academy as the winner with personal references from Kerri
• The chance to join the Academy's official team of photographers for paid work
• A press release sent out to your local newspapers informing them of your win to increase your publicity
• A framed certificate

Prizes for the winners of individual award categories:

• A framed certificate
• A featured winners profile on the Academy with gallery and personal references from Kerri
• A place to shoot at any of our model events such as Model Tutorial Days, beach portfolio shoots or pageant training days.

On entering you will be required to submit ten images to us to be judged by our panel, these are chosen by you and can be a variety of shots from our events. The overall winner will be chosen on the quality of the ten images they submit.

Each entrant is welcome to also submit one picture of a model to each of the following categories, where a winner will be chosen by our judging panel. The winner of each category will be given the award at our presentation evening and charity dinner later this year.

The 5 award categories:

• Best model headshot - Either close up, or head and shoulders. We are looking for something a bit different and innovative rather than the standard industry headshot.

• Best natural shot - Using natural lighting and taken in an outdoors setting we are looking for an image of a model that sums up the British summertime.

• Best action shot - Running, dancing, splashing in the sea...we are looking for the photographers ability to not only direct the model but to capture an amazing action shot of them as well.

• Best use of Photoshop - Whether its just cleaning up your image or by adding special effects to the image.

• Best innovative pose - posing your model in a 'fresh and unusual' way to capture something a bit different in your images. We are looking for new poses not seen before, to work within the setting you are shooting.

You must be a member of the Academy to enter the competition, and attend one of our events this year - either a Model Tutorial Day or one of our Beach Portfolio Shoot events. You will find events you can come along and shoot at all over the UK on our Model Tutorial Days UK Tour this summer.

Current members of the Academy:

If you are already a member you will pay an entry fee of just £25 to come along to one of our events and shoot with us, this fee includes:

• Entry to shoot all of the models at any Model Tutorial Day or Beach Photoshoot, entry to the competition and all category awards, a gallery of your chosen ten images on the website as a finalist.

Non members:

If you are not currently a member of the Academy you will pay an entry fee of just £35 to come along to one of our events and shoot with us, this fee includes:

• Entry to shoot all of the models at any Model Tutorial Day or Beach Photoshoot, entry to the competition and all category awards,a gallery of your chosen ten images on the website as a finalist. This fee also includes an Academy membership and photographer profile worth £24.99 saving you £15 off the usual price!
