Welcome to our Model Tutorials in the Sun, throughout the year you will find several portfolio trips abroad with the Academy - all held in exotic locations! 2010 has already seen several sell out trips to Egypt and Majorca, so we have booked up even more for you to come along to! In March over 15 models joined us for a week shooting on the Red Sea in Egypt, in April we had a week shooting with Scott Ninness in Majorca, and then in June we spent a week at a private villa in Majorca shooting with the Academy photographers and 8 models!

The Academy has organised one more trip to Egypt this November to get some winter sun and shoot more models portfolios on the gorgeous Red Sea Riviera, and we will also be organising another trip to Egypt next March as well! There really is no where more beautiful to shoot than on the Red Sea and your guaranteed sunshine every day as well!
     

Egypt Red Sea Portfolio Trip - 15th - 22nd November - only £899 for the week!
 
   

Come and join Kerri and the team on the portfolio trip of a lifetime this November, and spend a week in a luxury hotel right on the Red Sea Riviera! Models who came on the March Egypt trip stayed at this resort and had a fantastic time, and we're equally excited to be going back there for the second time this year!

We will be staying at the Tropicana Sea Beach and have secured a fantastic group booking rate through Thomson to ensure we keep our prices low for the models.

The total cost of the holiday AND the portfolio shoots are just £899 per person! Holiday costs of £600 are paid to Thomson, and the remainder £299 are the Academy's fee's for your portfolio shoots every day of the trip. Yes we know that £299 for portfolio shoots every day for an entire week is ridiculous when in the UK you usually pay that for a couple of hours in the studio - but we're very generous you see!

The week in Egypt will comprise of sunbathing, relaxing and swimming in the sea during the day, with photoshoots every late afternoon/early evening combining a relaxing holiday experience with the portfolio shoots of a lifetime!

Wake up to a delicious buffet breakfast and then head to the pool for some sunbathing before lunch, or pull up a lounger on the private beach and take a dip in the Red Sea! For those who are feeling lazy lunch is included from the beach bar as well so you do not have to walk far from your lounger for all inclusive food and drinks!

After lunch enjoy some more sunbathing and relaxing before getting ready for your photoshoots each evening as the sun goes down behind the Sinai mountains and the light is at its most flattering. Enjoy dinner and drinks each evening at the hotel, and you will also have the option of getting a minibus to Naama Bay and Old Sharm for some serious shopping two evenings of the week as well! Cost breakdown - whats included in the £600 Thomson holiday fee:
 

The Thomson fee's of £600 include a weeks long all inclusive holiday on the Red Sea Riviera staying at the luxury 4* Tropicana Sea Beach resort, right on the Red Sea with it's own private beach! Staying on an all inclusive basis the following services are included in your trip:

  • Return flights from Luton airport to Sharm El Sheikh
  • Coach transfers to and from the resort
  • Accomodation in the luxury hotel - all rooms feature air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, mini-fridge, marble bathroom with shower, and a private terrace or balcony and seaview.
  • Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner (the food at this hotel is the best we have experienced in Sharm on all of our trips!)
  • Dinner at the Chinese and Italian restaurants for two evenings of the trip
  • Lunch at the beach bar (pizza's, kebabs) if you cannot be bothered to walk to the restaurant!
  • All drinks including soft drinks, bottled water, tea and coffee, and alcohol. Available at the restaurant and various bars including the beach bar and the swim up pool bar!
  • There's even afternoon tea served if you cannot wait until dinner - we know the photographers are a hungry lot!
 

Cost breakdown - whats included in the £299 Academy fee:
 

The Academy fee's of £299 go towards sending our team out there to ensure you enjoy the portfolio experience of a lifetime! The fee's include:

  • Portfolio shoots - enjoy photoshoots every day of the trip from 4pm-7pm when the light is at it's best, and while the sun sets behind the Sinai mountains. The sun is too high in the sky to shoot during the day in Egypt - which leaves you with lots of time to sunbath! There will be sunrise photoshoot opportunities throughout the week as well. You choose the levels you want to shoot and the outfits you want to wear!
  • Hair and make up - you will receive help with hair and make up if you are not confident in doing your own, two pairs of false eyelashes will be provided per model as well.
  • Airbrushed images - you will receive ten airbrushed images from the trip professional retouched by our graphic designer.
  • DVD of images - you will receive every image from the trip on DVD. A minimum of 500 images from the week in high resolution with no logo's or watermarks. (some girls in March received almost 2000 images - it depends how much you want to shoot, and how much you want to relax!)
  • Model Handbook - you will also receive a Model Handbook to help you with some posing ideas to try on the beach!
  • Modelling contest - win a place in the Model of the Year final with over £10,000 worth of prizes!
  • Advice and shoots with Kerri - you'll be able to get advice from Kerri all week long, hear tales of the modelling industry whilst sunbathing and ask her anything you want about the industry and how to get started out! You'll also get the chance to shoot with Kerri as well - with the images sent to all UK newspapers and magazines for publication through our Celebrity Pictures account.
     

Booking onto the trip:
 

To book onto the trip a deposit of £200 is due immediately to book your place on the holiday through Thomson. The further £400 must be paid to Thomson by the 20th September 2010. If you do not pay by the 20th September then Thomson are within their right to either cancel your holiday with no refund of deposits, or bill you for the final amount.

The Academy fee's of £299 can be broken down as follows: £150 installment on the 1st October, and a final payment of £149 on the 1st November. Due to no monies being received by the Academy on the initial booking - any cancellations carry an admin fee of £49 to cover the time into booking you onto the trip - and the time spent replacing you to cover our staff costs. You can book onto the trip at any point leading up to it, however the full amount of £600 will be due to Thomson on booking.
